To drive safely, drive smart, and avoid speed cameras. There are 171 speed cameras in NSW alone and more than 110 NSW residents lose their licenses every day. Most of these are not unsafe drivers, but the tightening of speed tolerance on speed cameras has them trapped.
Even the NSW government believes these levels are too strict:
"Motorists caught speeding by up to 15 kilometres an hour over the limit currently lose three demerit points.
NSW Roads Minister Michael Daley thinks that penalty is too harsh.
“A good demerits scheme to enforce traffic measures has to have an intelligent mix of carrot and stick and at the moment, I think there is too much stick,” he said."
Let iTraffic help you avoid punitive fines for minor speeding.

Stories around school children being run over are always chilling reading. There are deaths every year inside designated school zones. This is horrible, yet can any driver claim that they always notice the school zone signs? Frankly, no. This is made worse by the fact that most of the time, you can ignore the sign – so we’re all used to maintaining our current speed – most of the time.
One approach to helping is to add flashing lights; surely people can’t miss those. So for some schools, the RTA has added flashing lights to the school zones signs and this has been effective and unmissable. However the vast majority of schools are not so blessed. Some schools have funded their own school zone flashing lights (courtesy of Peter Olsen). Even so, most school zones remain just a sign and remain largely unnoticed.
This is a terrible situation for the school child, at risk of being run down. But it’s also bad for the motorist, at (rightful) risk of being booked. Is there any other solution? What if every driver could take matters into their own hands? What if every driver could take responsibility for their own Driver Awareness?
